Ilayathalapathy Vijay's #Vijay58 with Chimbudevan was kicked off with a grand song featuring Ilayathalapathy, Shruti and Hansika. The film's first schedule is expected to go on for 45 days until the mid of december.
Naan E fame Sudeep was rumored to play Vijay's elder brother, But the star actor in a recent interview to Bangalore Mirror clarified on his role and had this to say "My role is that of the antagonist. It is a fantasy film and Sridevi plays the queen of a kingdom. I play the role who is the commander of this kingdom," said Sudeep.
On Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Sudeep said "He is the biggest star of the generation and lot of care has been taken to showcase his image. Whatever role he plays, it is expected that he should do a bit of comedy, dance and do a lot of things in every film. Vijay's role is nicely detailed. I will not say I play a parallel hero. My role is of the antagonist. It is not about playing an evil character. There are good and bad and lots of things. If it was just a negative character, I would not have been approached."
