Fans the 61st National Awards were announced today and our Kollywood has made us proud by bagging 5 awards totally. Here are the winners from our Tamil Cinema 

• Best Regional film - Thanga Meengal
• Best Child Artist - Sadhana for Thanga Meengal
• Best Lyricist - Na Muthukumar for Aananda Yaazhai - Thangameenkal
• Best film on National Integration - Balu Mahendra's Thalaimuraigal
• Best Film editing - Sabu Joseph for Vallinam

Here are of some other important awards in other languages

• Ship Of Theseus- Best Feature Film.
• Bhaag Milkha Bhaag - Best Popular Film providing Wholesome Entertainment.
• Best director - Shahid's director Hansal Mehta.
• Best Actor -  Raj Kumar Rao (Shahid) and Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu.
• Best Actress- Geetanjali Thapa
• Best Supporting actor- Saurabh Shukla (Jolly LLB)
• Best Supporting Actress award - Ship Of Theseus' actress Aida Elkashef and Marathi star Amruta Subhash. 
• Best Makeup, Best Costume Design, Best Music and Best Male Playback Singer went to Bengali film Jaatishwar .
• Lyricist, poet and director Gulzar has already been named this year's recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
