Fans as SS Music earlier reported, There was a buzz going around that Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Kaththi with A.R.Murugadoss has been hit with a controversy of sorts. Various sources reported that Lyca Productions who jointly produce the film with Ayngaran International were the reason for this controversy, They stated that the owner of Lyca, Subashkaran Alliraj, was supposedly close to the Sri Lankan president Rajapakshe and had availed several business contracts for his mobile company and this had led to various Tamil organisations gearing up against Vijay and Murugadoss. 

The makers of Kaththi have now released an official press clarifying on the controversy
