Siva Karthikeyan's Maan Karate opened last week to an tremendous opening and is running successfully, Now the movie has been hit with a case, A petition has been filed against the movie in High court stating the film's title Maan Karate is not a tamil word and hence the 30 % tax exemption should be cancelled. The petitioner also claimed that the film encourages boozing and the scenes should be cut from the film.
If the tax exemption is indeed cancelled then the makers would suffer a lot as it would drastically reduce the collections the movie has made.
