It's almost become a part and parcel of Kollywood Today, With Every big release , there seems to be someone who conjures up a title issue and seeks a ban on the movie. A certain R Mahendran of Soumita Sri Arts has followed suit and has filed a case with Chennai's City Civil Court against the release of Vijay and Mohanlal's Jilla.
R Mahendran claimed that he had dubbed a Telugu movie , Bhageeratha starring Prakash Raj and Shriya Saran and titled Jilla in Tamil. He added that he had also registered the Jilla title in 2008 with the Film and Television Producers Guild of South India and added he was very shocked to know from the newspapers that there a film with same title releasing on January 10th.
Mahendran has requested the Court to issue a stay on the release of Jilla and the hearing for the same happened Today on 9th January 2014. However Post the hearing one of the Jilla's Producer Jiiva had this to say
