The bilingual was to directed by Chandramohan a former assistant of Karunakaran (Award Winning Tholi Prema). The latest buzz on the movie is that Jiiva seems to have dropped the controversial heroine. 

The entire Kodambakkam is still trembling following the issues triggered by Nazriya Nazim in the recent Naiyaandi Controversy. There are talks going around that suggest Nazriya has sealed her own fate by blowing a small issue out of proportion for her personal publicity. Directors who have committed her to their movies are now muttering they might have to go to Commissioners office for several press meets. In a development actor Jiiva, who had been waiting for a month to commit Nazriya Nazim to his movie, seems to have rejected her and gone for another heroine instead.
