Was Raanjhnaa Dhanush's Bollywood Debut ?

Actor Dhanush is currently the hottest property in Bollywood even Directors like Imtiaz Ali( Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal, Rockstar) and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra (Rang De Basanti, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag) recently revealed their interest in directing a Dhanush Starrer.

Though Dhanush's Bollywood Debut might have been Raanjhnaa, However it was Sri Devi's Husband Boney Kapoor who had first approached Dhanush for a Bollywood movie. Yes, after viewing his Kaadhal Konden, Boney Kapoor went to buy the remake rights of the movie and also gave a one lakh advance to Dhanush for starring in the remake. However the movie never materialized but the advance still very much lies with Dhanush. Sources add that Boney Kapoor is now trying to cash in on the one lakh advance now.
