Karthika Nair the famous Daughter of Yesteryear actress Radha made a dream debut into Kollywood with K.V Anand's blockbuster K.O. But after the blistering start Karthika was no where to be seen on the Kollywood radar. It was at that point of time when she signed up for the legendary Bharathiraja's Annakodi.

Karthika had to undergo a drastic change in-terms of her appearance from a Glam Doll look which he portrayed in previous movies to a poor village girl. However all her hard work went to nothing as the movie bombed at the box-office with critics and fans stating this as the worst movie of Bharathiraja's career. Karthika now regrets upon doing this role and seems to have already announced that she really did want to be part of this project but Bharathiraja forced her mother Radha to accept the role on her daughter's behalf. Karthika seems to have made a conscious decision to never accept a movie like Annokodi in the future.
