Hansika Motwani the Numero Uno heroine in Kollywood having paired up alongside biggies like Vijay, Surya, STR and Dhanush surprised everyone when she signed up to star alongside Siva Karthikeyan. Though Siva has had a meteoric rise from his debut in Marina, Hansika decision was still the question on everyone lips. However sources now reveal that Hansika was indeed hesitant to pair up with Siva but later agreed to do so after she was offered Rs.1 crore as fee.

Maan Karate is directed by debutant Thirukumaran, a former associate of director-producer A.R. Murugadoss. Besides the lead pair, Vidyut Jamwal and Nasser play significant roles in the film.
