As SS Music earlier reported there was buzz that Powerstar Pawan Kalyan might be remaking Ilayathalapathy's Kaththi in Tollywood. Now according to sources, Pawan Kalyan recently did view Kaththi but has turned down the offer to remake the film as he felt it would not suit his image.
Kaththi was initially scheduled to release simultaneously in Tamil Nadu and Andhra on the same day but the film was later postponed to 31st October. Now sources reveal that the film release was put on hold to see if distributor could get the nod from Powerstar to remake the film. Now that he has turned down the offer the film is slated to release next week.
There was also buzz earlier that Ilayathalapathy Vijay wasn't keen on remake and instead wanted the Dubbed Telugu version to be released as soon as possible. It's worth mentioning that at the time when Powerstar's Attarintiki Daredi was shattering records there was a buzz that Ilayathalapathy Vijay might remake the film in Kollywood but that buzz faded out in time.
Kaththi has already been declared the biggest Tamil Blockbuster of Year and now the latest is that Ilayathalapathy will make his entry into the Illustrious 100 Crore club for the second time following Thuppakki.
"The film is unarguably the biggest Tamil blockbuster of the year. In its first week, it has collected a whopping ₹82 crore at the ticket window. It should touch the ₹100 crore mark by this weekend," trade analyst Trinath told IANS.
"It's a rare feat because Tamil films don't have pan India release, unlike Hindi films. Moreover, the ticket prices in Tamil Nadu have a cap. Keeping all this in mind, what 'Kaththi' has achieved is truly phenomenal," he said.
Kaththi will join soon the league of Extraordinary tamil films that have surpassed 100 Crore mark.
The Year 2014 will draw to an end and 2015 will begin in an explosive manner with biggies like Superstar's Lingaa, Thala's Yennai Arindhaal, Ulaganayagan's Uthama Villain and Chiyaan's 10 Enradhukulla, Dhanush's Anegan all lined up for release. Now the release date of Chiyaan Vikram - Director Shankar's Magnum Opus I could hold the key to determine the release date of all the above flicks. The buzz around the film has been absolutely epic and needs an solo release to fulfil its complete potential.
Now there is currently a buzz going around in K'Town that the makers are looking at Superstar's Birthday December 12th as a possible release date. There is also a buzz that Superstar's Lingaa with K.S Ravikumar might itself release on the same day as birthday treat to Superstar fans. An official confirmation from the makers might clear the air. With the spectacular audio launch of I in Tollywood with Sylvester Stallone and Jackie Chan yet to happen there is still no clear date for I's release.

Recently the actress was signed up for yet another film by Director Trivikram. But after shooting for a couple of days Pranitha walked out the film. Here is why
"Trivikram had conceptualised how Pranitha was supposed to look like in front of the camera for a certain scene. But that day, when Pranitha walked on to the sets, her look was nothing like what Trivikram had imagined. He lost his cool on the sets. The incident, coupled with differences in character perception, that led to her walk out," informs a source on the sets of the film.
A source close to the unit added, "Trivikram yelled at Pranitha on the sets. It did not go down well with her, more so because the incident happened in front of the whole crew. A furious, Pranitha decided to walk out forcing the makers to look for a replacement subsequently."
Sources also added that the director was very keen on having Pranitha on board as he considered her as a lucky charm post the massive success of Attarintiki Daredi.
